Legit Ways to Get Emergency Money

Have you recently found yourself thinking, “I desperately need money”, or “ I need urgent money help”? If that’s the situation you’re currently in, this means you’re in need of some emergency cash assistance.

So, if you’re interested in how to get emergency money, keep on reading. We’ll tell you all the options that can help you through your financial crisis. So, let’s get started, shall we?

What Should You Look Into If You Need Emergency Money?

Fortunately, Australia has many services available aimed at helping citizens get through rough patches. Some are governmental, some aren’t, but all are worth looking into. So, let’s see what they are, shall we?

Emergency Cash Loans

Emergency loans -also known as urgent, fast, or instant cash loans- are a type of personal loan that’s prioritised and granted almost immediately to cover an emergency expense.

Part of the reason emergency cash loans are so speedy is the general lack of credit checks. Most, if not all lenders offer no credit check emergency loans, which is great if you’re struggling with bad or insufficient credit.

Granted, you’ll be required to pay a loan fee and/or interest rate, but it’s a small price to pay to get back on your feet.

If you’re in need of a loan quite urgently, Orange Loans can put you in contact with a lender who’ll get you your loans in an hour

How? You simply fill out an online application stating your personal details and the loan amount you desire. We’ll then find you a lender willing to give you the money, even if you’re currently unemployed.

Once the lender reviews your application and approves it, you should have your money in just a couple of hours. This is the fastest way you can get your hands on some extra cash without having to undergo a credit check.

Centrelink

Centrelink link currently offers two payments to struggling Australians, which are:

Crisis Payment

A crisis payment, or crisis loan, is a one-off, non-taxable payment offered by Centrelink to those in severe financial hardship after an extreme circumstance. These are ideal if you need loans immediately.

Here’s what qualifies as an extreme circumstance:

  • Domestic violence
  • Release from psychiatric confinement or prison
  • Home relocation after a natural disaster
  • Humanitarian entry to Australia

Note: To claim your crisis payment, make sure to contact Centrelink within 7 days of your extreme circumstance.

Advance Payment

The Human Services Department in Australia allows Centrelink recipients to receive emergency cash loans known as advance payments.

To be eligible, all you need is to have been receiving any type of Centrelink payment for at least three months.

Keep in mind that this isn’t an extra payment. It’s just a portion of your regular Centrelink payments paid early. As such, in the coming weeks, your regular income will be cut. Unfortunately, this may leave you in a hard spot, not being able to pay for your essentials like groceries, rent, utilities, etc.

Charities and Community Organisations

Many charities and community organisations offer emergency relief services to help struggling Australians. The help may come in the form of:

  • Food vouchers/parcels
  • Partial payment of utility bills
  • Clothing or furniture
  • Transport vouchers
  • Chemist vouchers
  • Assistance with back-to-school costs

Note: Ask for help by contacting the Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul Society, or your local community centre/church.

No-Interest Loan Scheme

The No-Interest Loan Scheme, or NILS for short, is a service offered for Australians who are having a hard time making ends meet.

With the NILS, you can borrow up to $1500 without undergoing any credit check. And as the name implies, this loan doesn’t come with any fees or interest rates. You just pay back the amount you borrowed over 12-18 months, no more, no less.

To qualify for a NILS, you need to:

  • have been living at the same address for at least 3 months
  • be able and willing to repay the loan
  • have either a Health Care Card or a Pensioner Concession Card, or make less than $45,000 after tax deductions.

Take care that the loan money can only be used for essential goods and services. This includes things like medical/dental services, household and educational items, electrical goods, car repairs, etc.

If you plan on using the money for something like a holiday or debt consolidation, you won’t qualify for the loan.

Conclusion

If you need some emergency money, there are many different ways you can get it. However, the fastest method would be to get an emergency cash loan.

In less than 24 hours, you can have all the money you need, which unfortunately can’t be said for the NILS, Centrelink, and charities/community organisations.
